Hello!

I’m a Colombian artist, designer and photographer exploring the intersection between design, art and science. My work seeks to redefine our relationship with the rest of nature, promoting a more symbiotic and mutualistic connection. One of my main goals is to find alternatives for a sustainable and regenerative development in my country; one of the most biodiverse ones in the world, with great cultural diversity, but a lot of social inequality and territorial conflicts.

I’m currently interested in textiles, biodesign, and finding ways to connect scientific knowledge with traditional knowledge of local communities through the use of technology. I’ve been exploring biomaterials and natural dyes and have a profound interest for traditional and artisan techniques, specially in the textile field and ceramics. I’m fascinated by handmade objects stories and the traditions they carry, traditions that, at the same time, evolve over time. My practice seeks to fuse these traditions with innovations in biomaterials and natural dyes, creating bridges between past and a sustainable future.
